MOST EMMINENT KNIGHT GERALD E. TETZLOFF
Grand Cross of the Order of the Temple
Our Supreme Grand Master, Gerald E. Tetzloff was born in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan and educated there and in Calgary, Alberta, where the family moved to. He joined the R.C.M.P. in 1952 and served in the Provinces of British Columbia and Alberta before retiring to pension as a Senior N.C.O. in 1977. He was then employed with the Strathcona County as the Director of Transportation Services for twelve years when he retired and formed his own Drug & Alcohol Testing business, which he presently owns and operates in Edmonton, AB
M. Em. Kt. Tetzloff lost his wife Arlene to cancer in 1995. He has two children, Kevin & Laureen and two grandchildren. He is presently engaged to marry Ms. Anita Anderson of Sherwood Park, AB. He enjoys golf, curling, reading and Travel.
M. Em. Kt. Tetzloff was initiated into Freemasonry in Edson Lodge #68 in 1963 and affiliated with Redwood Lodge #193 in Edmonton, AB in 1968. He was the Worshipful Master in 1973 and served two terms as the District Deputy Grand Master of his district (1985 & 1995). He served on the R.C.M.P. 3rd Degree Canadian Rite degree team from 1963-1977 and the Northern Alberta Veteran’s Degree team from 1989-2007. He served two terms on the Board of General Purpose, Grand Lodge of Alberta and is an honorary life member of two lodges in his District and the Grand Representative of the State of Indiana, near the Grand Lodge of Alberta.
In Capitular Masonry he is the past Grand First Principal “Z” of the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Alberta, and the Grand Representative of the State of Minnesota near the Grand Chapter of Alberta He is an Honorary member of the Grand Chapters of BC/Yukon, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.. He is the past President of the Order of High Priesthood.
Our Supreme Grand Master joined Edmonton Preceptory No 46 in 1995 and was the Presiding Preceptor in 2006. He was elected to the Grand Council of Sovereign Great Priory in 2007 and as Deputy Grand Master in 2010.
Greeted in Zohar Council #2, Cryptic Rite Masonry in 1996. Thrice Illustrious Master, 2005. Appointed Grand Principal Conductor of the Council of Royal and Select Masters of Western Canada in 2006. Served as Grand Inspector General of Alberta District in 2011/12. Initiated a member of Alberta Lodge #2, Royal Ark Mariners, moored to Zohar Council #2. Served as Worshipful Commander Noah, 2005. Received the order of the Trowel in 2007.
Invited to membership in Taylor Conclave No. 5, Red Cross of Constantine in 1996, presently serving the office of Senior General. Member of Alberta Rose York Rite College 52, presently serving as its Governor. Member of Order of Eastern Star, serving two terms as Worthy Patron.
